Amateur Radio Foundation Course and WINGS Museum

Chris Howard (M0TCH) and I are halfway through teaching an Amateur Radio Foundation Course. It’s a shame we only have one student due to others not being able to make the course at the last moment. However, our student is very interested in the hobby and thankfully asking lots of questions.

Edmund (M0MNG) sent me a link to this video he came across. It was recorded at the WINGS Museum in Sussex and shows the radios on display. While it was being recorded, I was in QSO with the Museum on 4 metres FM and can be heard in the background.

Rev. George Dobbs G3RJV Silent Key

Some very sad news.

We have heard that Rev. George Dobbs died early this week from pneumonia that wouldn’t respond to antibiotics. He was suffering from Dementia too.
I only met him once, shame I didn't get a recording because he was a very interesting guy to talk to. He is going to be sadly missed by all of us in the amateur radio hobby.

RIP George!
