Week 30 2011

Home from Cyprus and back to work tomorrow. The two weeks break was over all to quickly as I sit here preparing my tools for work.

While on Cyprus I managed to do some operating on six metres. Stations worked included:

UZ5HZZ, UT7OF, YO2LEL, YO2BCT, S51DL, UX0FF, E70T, 5B4AHY, UT4XXA and YO4ASV

Colin and I had lunch with the Paphos Radio Club at a beach taverna on Thursday. This taverna had a great view of the Mediterranean Sea and the weather was very hot. We recorded an interview with a couple of the guys at this spot for a future ICQPODCAST.

The mobile data in Cyprus is very poor with connection speeds lower than dial up. However we were able to get emails direct to the phone.

We did some more Geocaching during the second week along with seeing some nice parts of the island.
